I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to Arnaldo and Yani Bomnin for their incredible support of my journey as a Miss Rodeo Homestead contestant. Having known the Bomnin family since I was just six years old, I have been inspired by their unwavering dedication and hard work. Their commitment to their employees, customers, family, and community is unmatched, and their actions reflect the values they hold dear. Whether through their extraordinary leadership in business or their generosity in giving back, they embody the spirit of service and excellence. Their belief in me as I pursue my dreams means more than words can express, and I am so grateful for their encouragement and kindness.
As devout Christians, Arnaldo and Yani honor God through their work and their constant efforts to uplift those around them. Their faith is evident not only in their success but in the way they extend love and compassion to others, setting an example of what it means to live with purpose and integrity. I am truly blessed to call them friends and to have witnessed firsthand their grit, determination, and unwavering support for our community. Their influence inspires me to give my best in all I do, and I am proud to represent a community shaped by their values and generosity. Arnaldo's journey toward achieving the American Dream began with a bold decision to leave his home in Cuba, leaving behind his family and a successful career as a medical doctor. Determined to succeed, he started from scratch, working in landscaping and selling lobster on Miami’s streets. One fateful day, while selling lobster at a car dealership, the General Manager recognized Arnaldo’s exceptional sales abilities and offered him a position as a sales associate. This opportunity marked a turning point, and Arnaldo's career quickly took off. He became Salesperson of the Month for 15 consecutive months, consistently surpassing dealership goals.
In August 2000, Arnaldo was promoted to Sales Manager at a Chevrolet dealership in Miami, FL, and advanced to General Sales Manager in 2005. By 2007, he had risen to General Manager, leading through the Great Recession. Where others saw challenges, Arnaldo saw potential and began working toward his ultimate dream of owning a dealership. In 2010, after years of hard work and a track record of success, Arnaldo acquired Kendall Chevrolet, which he transformed into Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland. Under his leadership, the small dealership grew significantly, reopening in 2013 as a state-of-the-art 39,000-square-foot facility.
In November 2016, Arnaldo expanded his operations, acquiring Grand Prize Chevrolet in Miami, renamed Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall. The dealership flourished, becoming one of the top Chevrolet dealers in the U.S. and earning the Dealer of the Year Award for seven consecutive years (2017–2023). By 2021, it surpassed Bomnin Dadeland to become the #1 Chevrolet dealership worldwide.
In 2018, Arnaldo extended his reach into the Mid-Atlantic region, opening Bomnin Chevrolet Manassas in the Washington D.C. metro area. This dealership quickly became the largest Chevrolet dealer in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland, earning Chevrolet’s Mark of Excellence in 2019.
Arnaldo continued his strategic growth in October 2019 by acquiring a Cadillac and Chevrolet dealership in Homestead, FL, completing the "Bomnin Triangle" of South Florida dealerships. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Arnaldo added a Mitsubishi dealership and a Volvo franchise, the latter becoming the top Volvo dealership in the U.S. since its opening.
In December 2023, Arnaldo expanded into new territories with Bomnin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Doral and Bomnin Alfa Romeo Fiat Doral. Within a month, these dealerships achieved top-tier national rankings. As of January 2024, the Doral CDJR dealership ranked among the top three in the nation.
Throughout his journey, Arnaldo has remained dedicated to giving back to the South Florida community that welcomed him. Through charitable contributions and initiatives such as donating vehicles to families in need, he continues to make a positive impact. With over 800 employees, the Bomnin Automotive Group thrives on a culture of excellence, teamwork, and community commitment.
Arnaldo’s inspiring story showcases the resilience and determination needed to achieve the American Dream.
